Fonsies Insane Hot Sauce
What started with growing a few pepper plants in 2016 has grown into a one-man business in extremely hot products based on the famous Carolina Reaper.
The peppers are grown by us in Halle-Booienhoven, a sub-municipality of Zoutleeuw. They are grown in a greenhouse and processed into our current range.
Our products are named after our son Fons and our daughter Louise.
About the Carolina Reaper
The Carolina reaper was developed by American "Smokin" Ed Currie, who belongs to the Puckerbutt Pepper Company.
The Carolina Reaper is a cross between a pepper called "La Soufrière" from the island of Saint Vincent and a Naga Viper from Pakistan and was officially declared the hottest pepper in the world in 2013 by the Guinness book of world records.
The pepper has a Scovill value between 1569000 and 2200000.
The Scoville scale, developed by Wilbur Scoville in 1912, measuring the hotness of chili peppers.
